We are just quivering with excitement here at the Carnival committee because we’ve still got lots of exciting announcements yet to make!
We are delighted to welcome the Newport Pagnell Archers club to Riverside Meadow on Carnival Saturday (04 July) this year. Milton Keynes’ oldest archery club (at 48 years young) will be allowing everybody the chance to ‘have-a-go’ at playing Robin Hood and shooting some arrows – regardless of age, height or archery-ability.
They will also be happy to talk to you about the history of the club, where they meet and all about their Olympic medalist club member, Valerie Williamson.
Carl Allen of the club mirrors our excitement: “Newport Pagnell Archers are really looking forward to being part of the Newport Pagnell Carnival this year. We shoot a variety different bow styles, indoors and outdoors and we have weekly practice and competitions“.
Whatsmore, if you enjoy it at the Carnival weekend then the Archers would love for you to join them at their next beginners’ course. Details can be found on their website at www.newportpagnellarchers.co.uk.
So make sure you pay them a visit and give it a go…we can’t see any drawbacks!
