Newport Pagnell has long been a motorist’s dream: From being the saviour of all passengers crossing their legs between junctions 13 and 14 – to being the international man of mystery’s very own car-shopping location of choice.
But the absolute highlight for all visitors, residents and car connoisseurs alike is the annual Classic Car Parade and Show that takes place at Newport Pagnell Carnival.
From a 1935 Morris 8, to a 2004 Jaguar 4.2 V8 – you will see it all on Sunday 05 July. The rally will crank up at 12 noon at Blakelands, ride through the High Street and park up on Riverside Meadow, to be displayed in all of their shining glory.
Here’s our classic car resident Mike to tell you more:
“We aim for a variety of cars to interest all ages. Many owners have been attending for up to 20 years, bringing different cars and bikes – so they must enjoy the day!”
So whether you’ve got a polished little number hiding away in your garage*, or if you just want to come along to view, admire and lust after some really beautiful motors – you will find everything you need to know here. In addition to the Car Show we will also have the Hula Dog Show, car boot and Duck Race, plus the usual stalls, food and fun fair – Sunday 05 July is definitely not one to be miss!
*If you are the very lucky owner of a classic car and would like to take part in the Parade or Show (or both!) please complete the form here. Once returned it will be registered and further details will be sent to you, including a map and display form. Plus entry is free-it would be rude to not take part!
Until next time,
The Carnival Committee
